Jokowi Electability Remains High, According to Survey.
JAKARTA, NNC - Electability of Joko "Jokowi" Widodo is still the highest among competitors, based on the 2018 National Survey of Public Opinion by the Survey Institute KedaiKOPI (Indonesian Public Opinion Discussion and Review Group).
From the KedaiKopi survey it emerged the name Gatot Nurmantyo as favorite vice presidential candidate, TGB (Tuan Guru Bajang) Zainul Majdi as the most religious one.
This survey presented electability of some names of presidential and vice presidential candidates. Joko Widodo when paired with a number of names remains dominant (48.3 percent) followed by Prabowo Subianto (21.5 percent), Gatot Nurmantyo (2.1 percent) and TGB Zainul Majdi, Anies Baswedan and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono both got 1.1 percent of the vote.
"So if Jokowi rematches today facing Prabowo, then he remains superior," said Founder of the Survey Institute KedaiKOPI Hendri Satrio, as quoted by Antara, Sunday (4/15/2018).
In open question, Jokowi also topped the mind of the public as a presidential candidate (35.1 percent), while Prabowo is in the next position with 12.0 percent. It was followed by a number of other names, including Gatot Nurmantyo (1.1 percent), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (0.7 percent), TGB Zainul Majdi (0.5 percent) and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono or SBY (0.5 percent).
"The other names are less than 0.5 percent there are Hari Tanoe, Anies Baswedan and Edy Rahmayadi," Hendri continued.
Public satisfaction to the performance of Joko Widodo's administration is still high. To date, 66.5 percent of the public has been satisfied with Joko Widodo's administration, especially in the areas of health, infrastructure, education and foreign relations. Only 33.5 percent said they were not satisfied.
Meanwhile, Director of the KedaiKOPI Vivi Zabkie said that for the position of Vice President, Gatot Nurmantyo became a favorite. When asked, among the following names who would you choose to be the next Vice President of Indonesia, the public as the result chose Gatot Nurmantyo (17.5 percent).
It was followed by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (8.7 percent), Anies Baswedan (8.6 percent), TGB Zainul Majdi (6.2 percent), Abraham Samad (4.1 percent), Tito Karnavian (3.9 perse), Muhaimin Iskandar (1.7 percent), Rizal Ramli (1.1 percent) and other names.
When the public is asked an open question, if the presidential election is held today, who will you choose as Vice President? 4.6 percent of respondents mentioned the name Gatot Nurmantyo. Other names that occupied top of public mind as vice president candidate are TGB Zainul Majdi (4.4 percent) and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (4.3 percent).
"These are the top three names people think of as candidates, although most of the people have not yet decided about this vice presidential candidate (53.5 percent)," Vivi explained.
